Asian culture is full of balance, we can learn much from it. At the higher levels of appreciation, many concepts, ideas, feelings are reduced to its simplest form.
As a photographer, I am in a phase where I try to embrace this simplicity in my pictures, yet retain a level of implied allegory and story telling.
Its something to aim for, only much time and many pictures later, will I know how to consistently be at that level.

FloraM

I approach flora pictures using graphic design principles, where negative space is important to the photograph. I also like the square format.  Sometimes simplicity is the best policy, as in the pussy willow picture.  Lastly, flora need not be a literal presentation, as in the final photograph, where it is reduced to pure graphic design, yet a very small part maintains a literal presentation.
